Step One: Pre-session Planning
Phone consultation & booking
Our clients are selecting a photographer for their delicate newborn and the biggest moments of their lives. It is fundamental to us that connect on a personal level and talk in real time to answer any questions prior to booking.
styling appointment
Signature clients visit the studio ahead of time for a custom styling appointment for their whole family. Our clients save themselves all the time and stress in preparing for their session with a curated wardrobe designed for expecting and new moms, with cohesive clothing for children & dads to match.
Step Two: Your session
Session Day
Coordinating hair and make up and arriving in your pre-styled wardrobe, our clients day of preparation is limited to simply showing up to the studio or field. We play, snuggle, and cultivate moments of natural and beautiful connection.
Editing & Enhancing
Brynn edits every image by hand, selecting only the most lovely images and ensuring your portraits are ready for large statement frames. Often clients apologize for their toddler's crumby mouths or bruised knees, it’s all ok and easily taken care of in the editing process.

Step Three: Finished Artwork
Design & Ordering Appointment
Figuring out what to do with your images can be overwhelming and the options are endless. We view the finished images together and support our clients in designing gallery walls of their cherished favorite images, or a custom album showcasing that special stage in their family’s life.
Artwork Installation
We never want our clients to leave with more items on their to-do list. Installation is complimentary with a purchase of 4 or more frames and can always be added on to any product purchase.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. How far in advance do I need to book my maternity + newborn session?
It’s never too early to reserve your session, especially if you’re considering a milestones collection! We only take a limited number of due dates per month so we recommend reaching out at least two months before your due date and at the beginning of your second trimester.
2. When should I plan for those sessions to take place?
The sweet spot for maternity sessions is around the 30-34 week mark, and a little earlier for pregnancies with multiples. Newborn sessions ideally occur within the first three weeks of life and are scheduled after you deliver.
3. Do you offer in home newborn sessions?
We highly recommend newborn sessions take place in the studio conveniently located in downtown Columbus. We do sometimes travel to client’s homes on request, but a travel fee does apply. We also need to coordinate a little more while planning your session to ensure there are no concerns in achieving the look you see in the portfolio.
4. Do you carry my size in your wardrobe/how do I know it will fit me?
We strive to carry a very inclusive wardrobe and have options up to size 22. Most dresses are cut in versatile and flattering silhouettes with draping fabric so that you feel your best, even in the complicated post-partum stage. In addition, every signature session includes a styling appointment where you are invited to the studio to try on our dresses and style the rest of the family accordingly.
5. Can my dog participate?
Yes! Our fur babies hold such an important part in our lives and we love to welcome them in as a part of your portrait session.
6. Can I buy just the digitals
Of course you can! All product choices, including digital files are purchased after your session at a separate ordering appointment. Our goal is to best serve our clients and we know many people desire those digital copies of their images. We also know that when clients try to DIY, they are quickly overwhelmed with the choices and extra work on their plate to actually print their work. That is why many of our clients take advantage of our services in framing their images or designing their album and the more they invest the larger the discount on their digital files. Many clients end up earning their digital files complimentary on the way.
