Schiller park is not my typical outdoor location. My field sessions are just that, in a field with tall overgrown grass and a focus on love and nature. This little family had a special request to have their session here as a place near and dear to their hearts, so we planned a more urban outdoor lifestyle family session for them. I always want to make sure my clients know what to expect in a session with me, and that’s why I have selected my locations that I offer.
However, this family knew they wanted something specific and understood it would be different from what they see in my portfolio. The location was sentimental, and ultimately the session is about them and how they want to preserve their family history. This was how they saw the beauty in what they remembered and that’s really what I’m about documenting.
