Since Rory was born, Michael and I hadn’t had a trip just the two of us. Between training while Michael was still in the military, moving, and adjusting to our new life in Columbus, there was just never a good opportunity. For our anniversary in June, Michael surprised me with a quick weekend staycation to German Village. One of our absolute favorite places in Columbus we spend a lot of time down there and it was so nice to experience it as just adults.

We stayed at the German Village Guest House which was so lovey and easy to walk everywhere. I mean look at this patio. We pretty much ate our way through the weekend, walking to breakfast as Pistacia Vera (because I cannot help myself), lunch at Katzingers, drinks at Juniper. It was so lovely! I highly recommend taking a weekend for yourselves while raising the little ones. We decided we needed to make sure we do this at least once a year, to remember just us.
