Field sessions are really something special this time of year. The weather is beginning to cool but everything is still green and vibrant from the summer sun. This session took place during one of our unseasonably warm nights, but that glow was UNREAL. The light changes as the season starts to turn and the days get a little shorter. I think you can see that in Nicole’s session.
Celebrating her 15th birthday, a very important milestone in her family, we did a field session among the wildflowers. Do you all remember 15? I was SO impressed with this young lady. She was so poised and gracious, and kind. I know her mom from my time during my MBA and it was so lovely to see her again and to meet this wonderful woman she has raised. One of my favorite parts about being a photographer is the interaction with my clients. Their stories fascinate me. Every single family has a different life story and every single time I meet them I’m humbled to be in the position I am. They chose me to be the one to capture their life. My goal is always to create an image for them that stops time. Where you look back and sigh, “I remember that.” and there’s a piece of you that is as much there as there is now.
