These pictures were not easy. They were actually the most challenging session I had to date. Until the next one we tried with Rory the following day. That one was hands down my the hardest session and child I have ever photographed. I guess the good news is now I know I can handle it. And now you can know that even when your toddler is throwing a tantrum, it is possible to get beautiful pictures. I’m going to do another post on just how awful it was. Maybe I’ll call it, Iceland  vs. Toddlers.

I had a very specific look I wanted for this session, which is different from my typical pastel palette. I felt Iceland lent itself more to a dark and moody feel, and as it rained most of the trip, Iceland delivered. Special thanks to Chicwish for the dreamy skirt and Free People for the top.
