We drove by this spot and it was just this immediate gasp of awe from the car. We’re not in Kansas any more. It was so incredibly beautiful and just by the side of the road on the way between Gullfoss and Geysir. On the way back, Michael and Rory still in their outfits from earlier, so we said, why not? You don’t get to see family photography like this in Columbus, Ohio. We pulled over quickly for some daddy daughter portraits. These were a labor of love. There was a wire fence between the dirt path and the river which I had to painstakingly edit out of each and every photo. There were times I really didn’t want to, because it took forever, but it really was distracting. I also say this to add, we respected the area and did not pass that fence and it is only through Photoshop that this looks the way it does. I think it is so important to be respectful and mindful of our beautiful world. While these were way more time than a normal session would take to edit, they were worth it, as they are some of my favorite to date.
