I fell in love with natural, baby-led posed newborn photography before I was a photographer and before we moved to Columbus, Ohio. I didn’t realize it at the time, but when Aurora was born, this was what our photographer specialized in. Don’t get me wrong, this isn’t about what style of newborn photography is better. I honestly think you cannot take a bad picture of a baby, which is probably why I have thousands of my daughter. It’s just what I prefer to see on my walls, and what I prefer to photograph. They feel quiet, soft, and peaceful to me.
Little Boone is destined to be a Buckeye. Both his parents are graduate level Buckeyes and at least a few of his grandparents too. So of course we took some pictures dressed in the scarlet and grey. I just love the simplicity of this one. All ivory, sleepy snoozing and that sweet little face. There’s nothing better to me.
