I don’t know about you, but choosing outfits for your photography session can feel harder than wrangling five toddlers after drinking soda at bedtime. The options are limitless and overwhelming. I knew when starting this business I wanted this to be an opportunity to show moms just how magnificent they are. I wanted to give them a break, and treat them not only to receive beautiful pictures, but a joyous experience where they felt valued, seen, and special.
Just one of the ways I do this is to limit the overwhelming experience of choosing what to wear for your photography session. You are of course always free to purchase your own clothing, and I have lots of guidance and recommendations to hopefully help guide you down that path. My hope is that it’s not only easier, but that it helps you select outfits that fit the atmosphere of the images you’ve seen in my portfolios and chosen me for.
But what if you didn’t have to spend that time at all? What if all you had to do was show up a few minutes earlier to your session and get dressed? I’ve spent a lot of time sourcing and curating a studio closet that has designer gowns of all sizes with flattering cuts for different body types. I’ve purchased designer children’s clothing that coordinates perfectly with those gowns and will keep those kiddo’s comfortable and your photos looking cohesive. I even have some shirts for dads and accessories for kids like artful toys, sweaters, hats, and bows. You literally do not have to purchase a thing, or do a thing before your scheduled session. That’s pretty sweet, right?
What if you’re one of those people that really wants to see it on first? No problem, just visit me in the studio prior to your session. You can try on as many gowns as you’d like and determine whether you want to purchase something of your own or have peace of mind you found the one!
